Clincart Music is the home of the Scottish Songwriter, Composer, Producer and now Author Davy Clincart and his merry band of outlaws, “The Clincarts“.
Davy Clincart (Maddock) has played and recorded with a wide range of singers and musicians since returning to music in 2006. Recent releases include a solo album of space inspired music, “Omniessence” and a new album by The Clincarts entitled “A Taste of Salt“, the songs of which are based on a self-penned short story “The Coffee Grinder and The Green Ray“, which comes included in the new album package. Along with the CD, Book (short story booklet), there is also an Audio Book on CD, there is a new backing track for the new Line Dance Davy had especially created and choreographed, for the album, for all the lovely Line Dancers out there, and it comes complete with instructions too. Not only that, Davy had the new Line Dance filmed and also commissioned a Film Short to be made about the book, “The Coffee Grinder & The Green Ray“. The album is released under a new Indie Label, “Eildon Records”.
More recently, compositions have been driven by an interest in incidental, film and experimental music. Davy continues to play live regularly with a variety of singers and other musicians. Some of these artists have also recorded at Davy’s studio and he remains open to any interesting project. Davy is a pool Composer for the “Scottish Composers & Songwriters”
Davy is now resident on a beautiful Scottish Island and has plans to use his new Recording Studio to help young Singer-Songwriters/Bands and with the aid of Pete Carroll at “Eildon Records” and his “Scottish Composers & Songwriters“, they plan to offer a complete package for them, from being Recorded, Produced to being Promoted/PR etc and as Pete and Davy are veteran musicians and Songwriters/Composers, they will mentor young un’s with their many years of experience.
More news about the Studio venture soon…keep an eye on here or The Clincarts Facebook for updates.
