Clincart Music is the home of the Scottish Songwriter, Composer, Producer and now Author Davy Clincart and his merry band of outlaws, “The Clincarts“.
Davy Clincart (Maddock) has worked and recorded with a wide range of singers and musicians since returning to music in 2006. These include The Reeds, The Roll Ups, The Clincarts, The Delsonics, Norman Jay, Brian Hughes and the Lonesharks, The Crowdaddies, Dixon Street Soul Band,Clay County, Nickles & Dimes, Mairi Campbell and many more.
In 2016, Davy and his studio relocated to the beautiful Island of Lismore in the Scottish Inner Hebrides. He has been working with local artists to release a multi-genre double album including poems songs and narrations by artists associated with Lismore. Called Sounds From The Great Garden it is produced by Davy and released by Clincart Music.
Recent releases include Esther’s Island, a short story with music soundtrack tackling the subject of growing old and degeneration. Davy has also released a solo album of space inspired music entitled Omniessence.
The Clincarts also released a box set consisting of music CD, Audiobook and Short Story entitled A Taste of Salt, the songs of which are based on a Davy Clincart short story “The Coffee Grinder and The Green Ray. In the box set there is a backing track and instructions for a line-dance Davy had especially created and choreographed, for the album.
More recently, compositions have been driven by an interest in incidental, film and experimental music. Davy continues to play live regularly with a variety of singers and other musicians. Some of these artists have also recorded at Davy’s studio and he remains open to any interesting project. Davy is a pool Composer for the “Scottish Composers & Songwriters”
